Our summer program is celebrated for its wide range of activities, including a comprehensive and inclusive Tennis Program for participants of all ages and abilities.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic Adult Tennis Coordinator to lead our adult summer Tennis Program. This role involves implementing and leading tennis instruction and clinics for adults, providing private and semi-private lessons, offering community building tennis social events all to ensure accessibility and inclusivity in all aspects of the program. The coordinator will work under the guidance of the Director of Tennis Operations and in collaboration with the Youth Tennis Coordinator to deliver a cohesive tennis experience for the entire community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute high-quality, inclusive, fun, and accessible tennis instruction and clinics for adults at all skill levels.
- Under the supervision of the Tennis Operations Director monitor the Court Reserve platform to manage court times, clinics and private lessons.
- Provide private and semi-private lessons to adults and youth at a schedule to be agreed with the Tennis Operations Director.
- Collaborate with the Tennis Operations Director to create engaging, fun and adaptable Tennis Programs suitable for participants of varying abilities.
- Work closely with Youth Tennis Coordinator, fostering a unified approach across all age groups.
- Monitor participant progress, offering tailored feedback and adapting programs to meet diverse needs.
- Uphold safety standards, ensuring all activities are conducted safely and inclusively. Provide a model and guide to other tennis instructors in ensuring that all participants are treated equitably and inclusively.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining tennis courts and equipment, ensuring accessibility for all participants.
- Engage in regular team meetings, contributing to the overall improvement of the Center's programs.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and feedback empathetically and effectively.
- Aid in promoting the Tennis Programs, highlighting their inclusive and accessible nature.
- Complete administrative duties as assigned by the Tennis Operations Director.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in tennis instruction, with a focus on adult education and inclusive and fun practices.
- Strong tennis skills, and a deep understanding of the game's rules and strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a commitment to inclusive and accessible practices.
- Team player with a collaborative mindset.
- Organized, capable of managing multiple tasks.
- Good computer skills for scheduling and communication.
- Preferred CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Background check clearance.
Working Hours and Conditions:
- This position is seasonal and requires extended working hours, including evening and weekend clinics and instruction.
- This is a demanding physical job with many hours each day on the courts.

Pay: $25.00 - $50.00 per hour
