Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide experience in applying research and foundational knowledge to real world organizational, leadership and education issues, culture, strategic communications, design theory, and research in support of MCTOG's prepotency role within the TECOM learning enterprise.
- Attend, support, and participate in periodic working groups (WGs), off-sites, and operational planning teams (OPTs) in all manners concerning faculty development and curriculum design.
- Provide expertise to support the MCTOG curriculum development and review process.
- Provide expertise in modern curriculum design to recommend improvements to MCTOG’s curriculum and instruction as appropriate.
- Advanced degree from one or more of the following fields: Instruction, Facilitation, Learning Theory, Training, Training Design.
- Any of the following certifications: Master Training Specialist, Master Trainer, CompTIA CTT+, Teacher Trainer, or similar.
- Prior Ground Combat Element (GCE) O-6 level command. Current on Marine Corps concepts, Force Design 2030, and adult learning methodology.
- Knowledgeable in doctrinal approaches to command.
- Skilled in developing a command philosophy that reflects their approach to command.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledgeable in doctrinal approaches to training. Practiced in developing training guidance.
- Knowledgeable in doctrinal approaches to tactical decision making & planning.
- Practiced in modeling a thinking enemy and defeat mechanisms.
- Practiced in crafting commanders’ guidance & intent.
- Practiced in commander KSAs for planning and execution.
- Knowledgeable in multi-domain environment warfighting challenges.
- Knowledgeable in emerging challenges (EMS, CUSA, SIGMAN, OIE). Must be trained on Marine Corps Instructional Systems Design (MCISD)/Systems Approach to Training and Education (SATE) and Risk Management (RM).
- Knowledge of military doctrine, tactics, and command relationships at the Joint operational command level.
- Proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and/or SharePoint.
- A Secret clearance is required for this position.
- Occasional travel CONUS/OCONUS may be required.
- Qualification as an authorized company driver is required. All authorized company drivers must have a valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and a driving record that is acceptable to the company’s auto insurance provider.
- Required to sit or stand for extended periods of time and maintain focus.
ESTIMATED COMPENSATION
- $70,000-$140,000
