We are looking for a Subject Matter Expert in Production Accounting to join our team. The ideal candidate will be an expert in production accounting for entertainment principles and practices, with a deep understanding of financial reporting, auditing, and compliance. The SME will play a critical role in providing guidance, support, and insights to our technology teams, helping ensure accuracy, efficiency, and workflow understandings available in our software offerings, for domestic and international audiences.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide expert-level guidance and support to the technology teams in interpreting and implementing production accounting standards, principles, and conceptualized workflows.
Comprehensive understanding and expert level knowledge of available Production Accounting software packages.
Participate in research opportunities with Clients and UX team members and help define best outcomes and solutions from findings.
Collaborate with Product and UX teams to determine the best user experience for UI design workflows and business requirements.
Provide training and mentorship other team members to further educate teams on Production Accounting best practice and workflows.
Facilitate conversations with EP teams & clients as needed for design feedback and iteration.
Assist in helping to front load design work to get ahead of development sprints.
Create and contribute to software documentation supporting Production Accountants.
Contribute to design decision making for product backlog feature development.
Assist Product team in prioritization of product backlog features and functionality.
Provide design and product guidance for domestic and international software features, defining various workflow scenarios enabled by application offerings.
JOB REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Bachelor's degree
Minimum of 10 years of experience in entertainment production accounting
In-depth knowledge of production accounting principles, financial reporting, auditing, and corporate compliance requests
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Collaborative team player
Familiarity with production accounting software and tools
Familiarity with SDLC and associated teams
The hourly pay rate for this temporary and part-time position is $50 and will be commensurate with experience related to the position.
