Job Description:

As an RN Infection Preventionist (Assistant Director of Nursing - ADON), you will play a critical role in our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our residents and staff. You will work closely with our nursing and healthcare teams to develop and implement infection prevention and control measures. Your expertise will be essential in preventing the spread of infections, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines, and promoting a culture of safety within our facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and evaluate infection control practices within the facility.
• Develop and implement infection prevention policies and protocols.
• Provide education and training to staff on infection control best practices.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential infection risks.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to investigate and manage outbreaks.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest infection prevention guidelines and recommendations.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and committees.
• Maintain accurate records and reports related to infection control.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in New York.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in infection prevention.
• Knowledge of current infection control practices and guidelines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining high standards of care.
