ADMISSIONS SPECIALIST

This is not remote position; Admissions Specialists will work on campus.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Admissions Specialists are responsible for identifying qualified applicants for admissions to the institution through a high volume of calls and in person/zoom meetings, while operating in compliance with state laws and accreditation regulations, consistent with the highest ethical standards. They also are familiar with all aspects of the process and able to provide information about NYFA, our programs, admissions process, financial aid, housing and any potential inquiries regarding the enrollment process.

Must be friendly, outgoing, personable and able to build and foster relationships with prospective students and their families.
Must be able to handle a high volume of requests, reaching out to prospective students to completely explain educational programs, expected outcomes, student services, and any other inquiries.
Assist prospective students who are qualified for enrollment to meet their educational goals within their specified timeframe securing the necessary paperwork for student files prior to enrollment, and promptly answer all questions in order to ensure a high level of customer service and student satisfaction.
Develop and maintain knowledge of our industry, programs, and policies
Conduct campus tours must be able to explore campus with guests while appropriately responding to different environments, reading body language and relaying large amounts of information accurately
Participate in Open Houses (mandatory) on Saturdays, as requested.
Work weekends and shifts that could range between the hours of 8 am until 8 pm
KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES:
Must be comfortable with high volume calls, both incoming and outcoming.
Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within a team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to handle multiple deadlines and maintain accuracy.
Ability to creatively problem-solve; relate actions and decisions to larger program goals; and respond effectively to a dynamic work environment.
Ability to successfully communicate, collaborate, and connect across different cultural backgrounds and with diverse populations.
Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with prospective students & parents
Excellent customer service
Hard working and diligent
Bilingual English/Portuguese, English/Spanish preferred.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION:
Bachelors degree preferred
Minimum of 1-2 years Admissions, Recruitment or Customer Service Experience
Valid passport & drivers license required
