We are currently seeking a Full-time Bilingual Admission Coordinator for Our Team!
The selected candidate will perform diversified and strategic functions to facilitate the admission of patients into out-patient substance use treatment. Will coordinate, perform and evaluate therapeutic, counseling, admissions, financial and marketing duties for the program.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Health, Human Services or related field and 1 year Counseling experience required, along with a minimum of 3 years’ experience performing admissions and/or administration in substance use services. Must complete ASAM training and be proficient with state licensure standards, 42CFR and HIPPA standards. Certification or license as an Addictions Counselor and Master’s degree preferred. Required to be bilingual in English & Spanish.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities -Must have:
- Knowledge of Recovery Management & Transformation Model,
- Knowledge of Substance Use Disorder and MAT program philosophies and policies;
- Knowledge of outreach strategies; admissions process and insurance plans;
- Knowledge of de-escalation techniques;
- Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communication skills, including but not limited to facilitation and relationship building skills;
- Solid Counseling, Assessment and Customer Service skills;
- Strong computer skills and be proficient with Microsoft Office;
- Ability to utilize, update & maintain electronic health records (E.H.R.);
- Ability to communicate with consumers on an appropriate level;
- Ability to maintain confidentiality;
- Demonstrated ability to handle difficult situations in a professional manner.
