The Undergraduate Admissions Office is responsible for recruiting and enrolling freshman, transfer, and re-admit students. Working as a Student Engagement Officer will enhance critical and practical skills that will serve you for a lifetime, in fields such as Sales, Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, and Non-Profit.
Job Description
The Student Engagement Officer position is available for current High Point University Students. As a Student Engagement Officer, you will be an ambassador and personal representative of the Undergraduate Admissions Office. You will be trained to contact and connect with prospective students and families to build relationships during the recruitment cycle. You will assist the Undergraduate Admissions Office in delivering key messaging and student connections throughout the year that helps in the recruitment of students and families to High Point University.
Job Location/ Hours Required
The candidate will perform most/all job duties in Phillips Hall. Hours may vary depending on the job requirements; however, student employees may not exceed 20 hours per week. This position requires up to 10 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Be an ambassador and convey a positive impression of High Point University.
- Speak confidently and educate prospective students and families about High Point University.
- Think quickly in responding to questions and/or concerns students and families may have.
- Be detail oriented.
- Exhibit enthusiasm, excitement, and support for High Point University.
- Remain professional in handling each phone call with courtesy and sensitivity.
- Handle personal information with extreme confidentiality.
Required Qualifications:
One must have strong verbal communication skills, enjoy talking on the phone, a strong attentiveness to details, and enthusiasm for High Point University - its mission and programs.
