The selected candidate will implement approaches and services to maintain or enhance resident independence and resident satisfaction. The candidate will also participate in veteran events and marketing activities while developing and implementing an annual business plan that achieves the financial goals and maintains high occupancy through marketing strategies. ABOUT THE FACILITY:
In southern California lies the Veterans Homes of California-Lancaster. Opened in December 2013, the Lancaster Home is part of a vibrant community offering a diverse range of cultural, recreational, and educational opportunities. This state-of-the-art home is settled in the Antelope Valley and amid the beauty and clear blue skies of the California High Desert . The Home is a short drive from downtown Lancaster where restaurants, shopping, and museums can be enjoyed by all. People can also explore the beauty of the Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve. The local area is committed to honoring veterans, have a very close relationship with the Home through community donations and visiting our residents.
The 60-bed facility offers relaxing courtyards, a library, and recreational spaces that the residents use as social hubs. The 20-acre campus and surrounding landscape offer sightings of the Cactus Wren, Rocky Mountain mule deer, and the rare antelope. Residents have double-occupancy rooms that are divided for privacy by a bookcase and entertainment center. The level of care is Residential Care for the Elderly.

- Knowledge of and experience in contracting, procurement, and hiring practices, preferably as a state employee
- Demonstrated experience to develop working relationships with stakeholders
