Under the direction of the Director of Special Services, the Administrator of Mental Health Services will consult and collaborate with school personnel, an Advisory Committee, and Executive Team to implement the District Mental Health Services Program (MHSP). The Administrator of Mental Health Services will assist school-site based mental health practitioner teams in implementing tiered systems of mental health support within an MTSS framework, utilizing research and evidenced based practices with fidelity in meeting the needs of all students; consults, coordinates, plans programs; and provides curricular and social-emotional resources for, and assesses the effectiveness of the programs for all students. The Administrator of Mental Health Services participates in in-service training, research, program development, and innovation of special methods and approaches for implementation, and coordinates with consultants, trainers, outside agencies including other school districts, in meeting the mental health needs of youth. The Administrator of Mental Health Services will also be required to be able to provide clinical counseling to identified youth.
