Summary:
Serves as liaison between customers and production by performing various duties.
Essential responsibilities and Authority:
- Enter all new orders into system.
- Maintains files, i.e., master file, cost analysis, shop orders, process sheets.
- Maintains open order list with promise dates, remarks, etc. updated daily from PO's.
- Types quotes.
- Undertakes assigned projects and other duties as assigned or as requested by superiors.
Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions, read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Ability to communicate verbally with people over the telephone.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to commute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to apply commonsense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Training and Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. Or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Computer experience, especially Excel, Word and Power Point.
- Team building, highly motivated individual.
