Job Description
This position will support the US Department of Energy Office of Scientific and Technical Information (DOE OSTI) vision to ensure long-term preservation of and access to DOE scientific and technical information through support of the administrative team. 6-12 Month contract with full benefits.
Position-Specific Duties
- Provide support to administrative team to ensure efficient operation of the organization
- Perform tasks related to organization and communication with stakeholders
- Assist with procurement and analysis activities
- Support customers in budgetary aspects and audits
- Ensure awareness of and adherence to project deadlines
- Provide daily updates to customers on tasks and projects, as requested
- Organize, attend, and participate in stakeholder meetings
- Prepare necessary presentation materials for meetings
- Capture and distribute meeting minutes/actions to project team members
- Document and track important actions and decisions from meetings
- Ensure all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project
- Ensure stakeholder views are managed towards the best solution
- Create a project management calendar for fulfilling each goal and objective
- Create daily, weekly and monthly reports as needed
- Other administrative duties as required
Education, Training, Experience
- 2 years of relevant administrative experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Able to communicate professionally orally and in writing, with strong editing skills
- Adept at scheduling and organization
- Deadline-driven and detail-oriented
- Ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders in a timely manner
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to prioritize workload with competing deadlines
- Strong aptitude for learning new technologies
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of application development helpful but not required
Physical Abilities
- Ability to sit for long periods.
- Ability to view computer monitor for long periods.
Ability to provide proof of US Citizenship on your first day of employment to obtain a DOE HSPD-12 Badge in accordance with the terms of the contract. Department of Energy OSTI's policy direction requires all employees employed on this contract to be citizens of the United States.
