Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Must have a minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in the field or in a related area, preferably including some reception work. General knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting. Skilled in oral and written communication. Must have excellent interpersonal skills with a customer focus. Basic skill in Microsoft Office applications. Strong work ethic with ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently and as a self-starter. Skilled in data entry and/or typing, with an attention to detail.
Essential Functions:
Serves as liaison between customers/visitors and office team members. Responsible for routing incoming calls through the switchboard. Takes accurate messages for employees and delivers them in a timely manner via callbacks and email. Supports administrative staff in a variety of projects including but not limited to mail preparation, procurement of office supplies, scanning documents into the content management system, and special projects as assigned. Periodically, supports the cash desk function to include handling setup and customer service of online banking accounts and posting of customer payments. May also, support the accounting department to include accounts payables and receivables, preparing routine journal entries, and verification of accounting documents. Limited travel required.
At the discretion of Alabama Ag Credit, position may be offered at alternate titles and other business experience may be considered relevant.
