Department and Position Overview:
Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, located in Norfolk, VA, is a 525-bed tertiary care facility that is home to the only Level I Adult Trauma Center and burn trauma unit in Hampton Roads, and serves as the primary teaching hospital for Eastern Virginia Medical School. As an Administrative Secretarywith Sentara, you will provide clerical and administrative functions such as drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, and organizing and maintaining records/files. This role will require you to communicate daily with other executive officers, physicians, customers, and various internal staff members. We are looking for a professional individual who has excellent skills in communication, customer service, critical thinking, and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is a must. In addition, this role may handle ordering supplies and working with work orders and requisitions.
Education Required:
High School Diploma
Experience Required:
Three years of previous experience as a secretary
