The School of Occupational Therapy at Touro University Nevada is seeking dedicated and qualified adjunct faculty members to join our dynamic team of educators. As an adjunct faculty member, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of Occupational Therapy professionals. ResponsibilitiesTeaching and Curriculum Development:
- Delivering high-quality instruction to students in various physical therapy courses.
- Designing and developing course content that aligns with the program's objectives and industry standards.
- Facilitating engaging and interactive learning experiences that encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and evidence-based practice.
- Evaluating student performance, providing constructive feedback, and assessing learning outcomes effectively.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor
- A Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field. (OTD or advanced degree is preferred)
- A current and unrestricted license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Nevada
- Demonstrated expertise and experience in the field of Occupational Therapy through clinical practice, research, and/or teaching.
- Previous teaching experience in higher education is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and external partners.
- A commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the learning environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Willingness to embrace innovative teaching methodologies and technology to enhance student learning experiences.
