POSITION TITLE: Adjunct Hiring Pool - Communication Sciences & Disorders
COMPENSATION RANGE: 1,080.00 - 1,300.00 USD per credit hour
EMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION: Faculty
TARGET HIRE DATE: 10/1/2023

This is an open pool posting and applicants will be contacted only if a suitable position becomes available. Pool may be used to fill vacancies for the Fall 2023 - Summer 2024.
This pool expires 05/31/2024. Applicants wishing to remain in this pool past 05/31/2024, must reapply at that time.
Position Summary:
Candidates are sought to form a Hiring Pool fortemporary positions in Communication Sciences and Disorders.
Minimum Qualifications:
Facultycandidates should hold a degree at the doctoral level or at least one degreeabove the course(s) being taught in a discipline relevant to the specificcourse(s) or have earned a master's or doctoral degree that includes at least 18 hours in a discipline relevant to the course(s) beingtaught. In some cases, tested experience may substitute for the earnedcredential.
To qualifythrough tested experience for instruction of undergraduate, masters or doctoraldegree classes, a faculty candidate who does not hold an appropriate doctoraldegree must have:
Master's Degree in Audiology, Speech-Language Pathology, Speech & Hearing Science, or related field (e.g. health, medicine, psychology, education, business, public health)
3 years of post-degree full-time experience (e.g. school-based SLP or audiologist) in the field relevant to the course being taught (language, educational audiology, etc.).
Clinical instruction faculty should also hold the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competence in the appropriate discipline or another currently accepted credential of an accrediting body.

Previous teaching experience at University orprofessional level

Employees at UNC receive sick leave, and other leave options may be available based on position. Full-time employees are eligible to receive tuition waiver benefits, as well as dependents and spouses of UNC Employees who are employed at 0.5 FTE or above are eligible for undergraduate dependent tuition grants of up to 50%. These tuition grants will cover in-state tuition charges. Further requirements may exist. Other benefits may be available based on position.

This position is contingent on funding from the Colorado State Legislature, approval by the Board of Trustees, and subject to the policies and regulations of the University of Northern Colorado.
