The Educational Leadership Ed.D. Program is at the forefront of the study of education with an emphasis on preparing self-aware and reactive leaders ready to guide organizational innovation and change. The EdD Program integrates a unique combination of a curriculum focused on education innovation, change and transformation, individualized professional leadership development, communities of practice-based learning, and an action research dissertation, making it a one-of-a-kind education doctoral program.
There are two concentrations:
Higher Education Leadership & Organization Studies - Designed for higher education professionals or those aspiring to work within a higher education context
Transformative School Leadership - Designed for those who work in PreK-12 settings - or want to work in industries or organizations that serve PreK-12.
We seek individuals experienced in PreK-12 settings and/or higher education to teach courses in an 8-week accelerated online format in one or more of the following areas: action research, leadership development and change, organizational development, innovation and entrepreneurial thinking and research methods (emphasis on qualitative methodologies). Additionally, we are seeking individuals with action research background (either in PreK-12 or higher education contexts) to serve as action research dissertation advisors.
Job Requirements:
- An earned terminal degree from an accredited institution in higher education or a related field required.
- Experience teaching and/or conducting action research either at PreK-12 or higher education levels. (If applying for these courses or dissertation advisement roles.)
- Experience teaching leadership development and change, organizational development, innovation and entrepreneurial thinking and research methods (emphasis on qualitative methodologies).
- Experience teaching graduate students in an online or hybrid setting preferred.
- Experience conducting action research preferred.
- Experience in dissertation advisement a plus.
- Demonstrated teaching experience using Canvas, Blackboard, etc.
- Ability to adhere to University policies and procedures.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
