Adjunct Faculty - Digital Art - Specialization Topics
The Digital Art Department of DigiPen Institute of Technology is seeking qualified applicants to teach within their area of specialization (e.g., VFX, Materials and Shaders, Houdini, Unreal, Unity, etc.).The instructor is responsible for delivery of educational material, including lectures, as well as evaluation and review of students, via homework, projects, or other indices. Ideal candidates will have teaching & professional experience in the area of specialization.
DigiPen Institute of Technology is a leader in game development and interactive media education. Undergraduate programs are offered in Digital Art and Animation, Computer Science, Game Design, Digital Audio, Machine Learning, Music and Sound Design, and Computer Engineering as well as graduate programs in Digital Art and Computer Science.
Duties and Responsibilities

• Teach an approved Digital Art topic in the area of expertise.
• Lecture and teach online and possibly within a classroom setting, as per course schedule.
• Demonstrate Digital Art workflow in the area of expertise.
• Grade, critique, and input assignment data on a weekly basis.
• Comply with the Institute administrative tasks throughout the semester.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Art, Interactive Media, Technical Art, Visual Effects, or related field.
• 4+ years of professional experience in the game or film industry, shipped titles preferred, published works, published research projects, or other body of work.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Terminal degree in Digital Arts, Visual Effects, or Game Production
• 8+ years of professional experience in the game or film industry, shipped titles preferred, published works, published research projects, or other body of work.
• Lecture experience, including professional talks or panels at conventions or events preferred.
• Instructor experience in a college setting, or other teaching experience.

Salary Range:
$5,184 - $8,709 per term, depending on credit hours, class size, and faculty rank
