POSITION SUMMARY
Washington State University Vancouver (WSUV) is seeking applicants for the position of Adjunct Faculty to teach undergraduate general chemistry course for the Summer 2024 semester. Appointment Date: June 3 – July 30. The first day of instruction is: June 3. Final grade submission: July 30.
COURSE INFORMATION
CHEM 106 - Principles of Chemistry II: Intermolecular forces, solutions, kinetics, equilibrium, acids and bases, thermodynamics, electrochemistry, radiochemistry. Credit not granted for both CHEM 106 and 116.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements
· Candidate must possess, at least, MS in Chemistry or related discipline.
· Experience teaching General Chemistry.
Preferred Qualifications
· PhD in Chemistry or related discipline.
· Experience in teaching undergraduate courses and labs at a college level.
· Experience teaching General Chemistry.
· Successful candidate must demonstrate a commitment to working with diverse student and community populations.
COMPENSATION
Compensation is based on terminal degree.
Masters:
$4,836 (for 3 credits, per lecture section, per semester)
$3,387 (for 3 contact hours, per lab section, per semester)
PhD:
$5,067 (for 3 credits, per lecture section, per semester)
$3,549 (for 3 contact hours, per lab section, per semester)
