Position Information
Resumes are currently being accepted for adjunct faculty positions in the Department of Rehabilitation. Resumes will be reviewed as needed for each semester.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses (REHA and RPSY 200- 400 level courses) and the Masters level courses (RECN 500 to 700 level courses).
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Rehabilitation or a closely-related field.
- Minimum of four years experience in rehabilitation counseling, mental health counseling, or related areas.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree or Doctorate in Rehabilitation Counseling, Counseling or a closely related field.
- To teach at the Masters' level, CRC is preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to function autonomously, communicate effectively, cooperate and interact pleasantly with all contacts.
- Ability to present a positive, professional image of the Rehabilitation Department, School of Pharmacy and Health Professions, and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
- Excellent communication skills to include fluency in English. Familiarity with computers, proficiency in basic office programs such as Word and Excel, or the ability to learn quickly is necessary.
Certifications/Registrations
Licensure in Rehabilitation, LGPC/LCPC (Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor/Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor), LGADC/LCADC, (Licensed Graduate Alcohol and Drug Counselor/Licensed Clinical Alcohol & Drug Counselor), LGMFT/MFT, (Licensed Graduate Marriage and Family Therapy/Marriage and Family Therapy). Licensure in other closely-related disciplines will be considered.
