Job Description:

• Position Code: ADJFC
• Job Type: PT Adjunct
• Traditional On Ground or Online class: Traditional, On Ground
• Undergraduate or Graduate class: Undergraduate
• Date class is scheduled to begin: Sept. 3, 2024
• Maintain accurate course records and submit related reports as requested.
• Effectively assess student performance.
• Create a safe and inclusive learning environment for students.
• Utilize multiple strategies to facilitate learning, i.e. small group work, workshops, etc.
• Incorporate new technologies and methods that enhance teaching and learning into his/her instructional methods.
• Support the Department and College through other work normally expected of Adjunct Faculty members.

Requirements:

• Masters degree in biology or a related discipline, Ph. D. or equivalent Preferred
• Ability to adhere to University policies and procedures.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Should be committed to a culture of diversity, respect and inclusion; demonstrated ability to build working relationships with people having a wide variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences different from ones' own.
• General knowledge of the University's mission, purpose, and goals and the role this position plays in achieving those goals.
