Responsible and accountable for developing, implementing and enhancing the spectrum of services for Nursing Practice across CentraCare Acute Care and Hospital Outpatient departments. Is responsible for the development and sustainment of nursing professional practice, including models for care delivery. Has broad expertise in research and evidence-based practice (EBP) and is responsible for developing a model for fostering an environment of clinical inquiry and innovation. Is responsible for ensuring consistency in the standards of Nursing Practice across the system.
Jointly accountable for goals and delivery of nursing care, utilizing shared leadership, nursing professional practice and shared accountability. Is accountable for optimizing nursing operations, engaging nurses, and leading clinical transformation across the continuum. Oversight of Nursing Practice responsibilities assigned to Clinical Nurse Specialist, Nurse Clinicians, and other nurses as appropriate.
Supports and demonstrates high reliability organizational principles and Our Purpose. Maintains professional competency by attending educational programs, participating in professional organizations and professional educational opportunities.
Position Details:
- Full-time working 80 hours every two weeks
- Monday - Friday
- Hours typically between 7:30am - 5pm
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree In Nursing required
- Master's Degree in Nursing and/or business required
- At least 5 years of experience in nursing required
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Minnesota required
- Professional membership in nursing required
- Must possess strong knowledge of Nursing Practice and nursing administration; strong knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, and professional standards; and strong change management skills
- Must demonstrate personal traits of a high level of motivation; professionalism; integrity; self-awareness; and place a high value on treating others with dignity and respect
- Must possess demonstrated management skills including leadership, communication, team building, organization and strategic planning
- Must demonstrate problem solving and critical thinking, continuous quality improvement and analytical skills
- Orientation will be given to obtain desired entry level competence in lieu of experience
