The Acupuncture P r actitioner is a complementary health practitioner, who takes a holistic approach to the maintenance of health and management of disease with focus on improving overall wellbeing of patients throughout the Integrative Medicine Clinic. He/she works closely with the IM Medical Director to ensure that evidence-based therapies are provided to our patients. The ideal candidate will also be able to provide acupuncture services as a licensed Acupuncturist. Provides safe, effective and appropriate acupuncture services to clients with and without a cancer diagnosis, taking into account individual patient's special physical or age-related needs. Requires skills in patient/client evaluation and therapy. Performs health history on clients and updates prior to each session. Ascertains precautions/contradictions for acupuncture prior to each session. Explains procedures and applies techniques appropriate to client needs and preferences. Observes client reactions to services and modifies as necessary. Solicits feedback and responds accordingly. Documents all sessions performed according to established guidelines. It is expected that this individual will also participate in the clinical research sponsored by the IM Program.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree Acupuncture or
  • Doctorate in Acupuncture
  • Upon hire: Oregon Acupuncturist License
  • 1 year Oncology experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 years Clinical patient experience

About the Team

Providence Physician Enterprise (PE) is a service line within Providence serving patients across seven states with quality, compassionate, coordinated care.
