The enrichment and engagement program must be designed and conducted in a positive manner in which the residents can maintain and develop their fullest potential for an independent lifestyle.
Resident retention, degree of satisfaction, and overall happiness are vital to the success of the enrichment and engagement program. MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: Ability to direct, organize, coordinate, provide, facilitate, and present an enrichment and engagement program to the senior community Ability to teach and lead exercises and assist with proper use of fitness equipment as well as coordinate professionals within local community to lead specific classes (i.e. Tai Chi) Competent in general computer applications; Microsoft Word, Publisher, Outlook, Excel and internet usage.
Cooperate and communicate with other team members, which includes participation, flexibility, and promotion of a teamwork approach Ability to operate within a set monthly/yearly budget Must demonstrate compassion, patience, enthusiasm, positive attitude, the ability to support, practice and deliver the Ray Stone mission to enrich the lives of seniors by engaging them Provide the Community Administrator with a current schedule of planned activities and post said schedule for residents in easy to view format and in readily accessible location Design and implement resident related retention activities Coordinate transportation schedules with residents Coordinate resident volunteer programs and increase resident participation Demonstrate public relations skills Must demonstrate high standards of ethics and personal accountability ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES Responsible for creating and fostering an atmosphere of fun, enthusiasm and involvement within the community Must be able to draw residents into the activities by demonstrating compassion, enthusiasm, and interest in their well-being by means of an upbeat, personable and contagious attitude Develop, plan, and publish a professional monthly newsletter/calendar that incorporates an assortment of activity, educational and fitness-related opportunities for residents and the surrounding senior community Develop and maintain a resource file of instructors, entertainers, community liaisons, tours, cultural events, sporting events, etc. On a daily basis, communicate and encourage the residents to attend one or more of the day's activities Coordinate medical clinics such as blood pressure checks, flu shots, etc. Survey and assess interests and needs of residents; Monitor resident participation and solicit feedback from residents to assure quality of resident enrichment and engagement program Create and maintain a visually appealing bulletin board at the community that highlights daily, weekly, and monthly activities, birthdays, special events, etc.
Scheduling various types of entertainment tours, movies, speakers, classes, and events for the residents and for the surrounding senior community Keep activity room clean and well organized Maintain a professional appearance in both dress and grooming Work closely with Marketing Director and Chef on special events Safely operate community mini-van and maintain a current driver's license and clean driving record Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience: Bachelor's or Associate's degree and/or equivalent work experience Senior fitness experience and/or designation of physical fitness trainer preferred Prior industry experience preferred Management or Coordinator experience preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred
