The primary purpose of the Activity Aide position is to assist supervisors in carrying out planning, implementation and evaluation of various different programs for residents. Maintains records, transports residents to and from activities. Performs varied clerical and department maintenance functions. Responsibilities:
-Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing & evaluating the activity programs & quality assurance program in this facility for the Activities Department.
-Prepare equipment and ensures the safety of patients or participants in the activity.
-Assist in leading the residents in group activities, such as an exercise class or art project.
-Ensure that all charted activity progress notes are informative and descriptive of the services provided and indicate the resident???s response to the service.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Various Shifts Available)
Skills:
-Should be energetic and personable to work with residents or participants.
-Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition & enthusiasm
-Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
-Must possess a high school diploma/GED
-Must possess a valid driver's license
