Opening:
9am - 5pm, Friday and Saturday

As an Activity Aide, you will be planning, organizing and leading activities in the facility and on community outings under the direction of the Activities Director.
Responsibilities of the Activity Aide:
- Participate in community planning related to the interests and needs of the consumer and family
- Assist the Activities Director in carrying out the plan of care for each consumer
- Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive, calm environment
- Record consumers' participation in daily activities and chart their progress
- Assist with recreational activities, arts and crafts, religious and community activities, service activities, intellectual and educational activities
of the Activity Aide:
- High school diploma
- Valid Driver's License
- Demonstrate adequate English oral and written skills; bi-lingual a plus
- Experience in a mental health facility helpful
- Must be able to take initiative, think creatively and communicate well with others
- Must have compassion, tolerance and understanding of the consumers
- Considerate, pleasant and professional in the performance of duties and interactions with other staff and consumers
