Position: Activities Director
Key Qualifications:
We are looking for an individual who embodies our values and can drive the activities program with dedication and enthusiasm. The ideal candidate should possess excellent organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
As our Activities Director, your role will involve:
- Planning, developing, and implementing engaging activity programs.
- Staying updated on federal and state regulations, and recommending policy changes as needed.
- Reviewing and enhancing department policies and procedures.
- Identifying medically related activity needs and contributing to care plans.
- Collaborating with residents and families for program planning.
- Providing consultation to staff and community agencies to meet residents' needs.
- Coordinating activities with other departments.
- Ensuring that all activity progress notes are comprehensive and informative.
- Organizing transportation for field trips when necessary.
- Maintaining a reference library for compliance and quality programs.
- Developing and participating in in-service training classes.
- Conducting assessments of resident activity needs.
- Reviewing nurses' notes for compliance with care plans.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Activities Director.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
