Activities Coordinator (Sunday - Tuesday) or (Thursday - Saturday)

The Activities Coordinator at Brookside Memory Care is responsible for assembling members and hosting daily activities, per an established activity calendar, that stimulate physical, cognitive, sensory, emotional and creative needs and desires as indicated in individual care plans for all residents. Our activities range from music, arts and crafts, reading, socials, games, exercise and other activities in accordance with members’ needs and requests. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday and Salary depending on experience. Free meals.

Responsibilities:

1. Helps create monthly activity calendar based on psycho-social needs of residents

2. Tracks individual participation through attendance records and progress notes; Helps orient, train and oversee volunteers

3. Attends care conferences and updates member care plans with manager as requested

4. Works with Manager to establish and implement a program that works with varying levels of dementia as well as physical and cognitive abilities,

5. Ensures that the needs and desires of Members are being met on a variety of levels with regard to sensory stimulation and quality of life

6. Coordinate once monthly family reach-out program

7. Knowledge of keeping a monthly budget and keeping it with in the parameters and also activities supplies stocked

8. Updating the an posting on our family personal Facebook page

9. Knowledge of state guidelines within the activity program

10. Other duties as assigned.
