Activities Coordinator

Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and coordinate a variety of activities and programs for residents in an assisted living facility or nursing home setting.
- Develop and implement engaging activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being for residents.
- Create a monthly calendar of events and activities, ensuring a diverse range of options to meet the needs and interests of residents.
- Coordinate special events, outings, and entertainment for residents.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure activities are integrated into the overall care plan for each resident.
- Provide support and guidance to residents in participating in activities, including assistance with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation in activities and evaluate the effectiveness of programs.

Requirements:
- Previous experience working with seniors in a memory care or assisted living setting is strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff members.
- Knowledge of aging issues and counseling techniques to support residents with cognitive impairments or dementia.
- Understanding of senior care principles and best practices in providing person-centered care.
- Ability to plan and execute events and activities that are engaging, stimulating, and appropriate for individuals with varying levels of physical and cognitive abilities.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure smooth coordination of activities.
- Flexibility to work weekends or evenings as needed to accommodate resident schedules.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
