General Description of the position:
Under the direction of the Director of Life Enrichment facilitate the organization and maintenance of daily
activities; ensure an active, involved and well-organized calendar. Make public contacts and
organize in- house functions open to the community to enhance and promote the Community.
Essential functions:
Provides activities for all residents in Memory Care by following the posted calendar.
Prepare and set-up crafts for special activities and lead activities posted. Low functioning and high functioning activities are to take place at the same time.
Initiate contact with community resource persons for the good of the memory Care residents.
Develop programs and seek entertainment for resident activities.
Train care staff to perform activities with small groups.
Oversee and escort residents on field trips.
Guide events and activities prepared for residents.
Assist with serving the noon meal and clearing tables. Monitor the residents in the dining room when requested.
Provide monthly Memory Care calendar and article for newsletter
Chart important information in the communication log and chart any activity notes in the resident chart when appropriate or when assigned.
Reports any change immediately in residents’ behavior to the Director of Resident Services, either verbally or in writing.
Provide Director of Resident Services with any pertinent information to be used for the resident’s service plan.
Clean up and maintenance of the activity areas. (vacuum, throw trash away, straighten area and return furniture to its original position). Maintain neat and tidy storage area.
Assist Life Enrichment Team with decorating the facility. This includes decoration of the bulletin board, removal of decorations and displaying of resident’s art work and crafts.
Attend In-services, SCU training and seminars, as assigned by the Director of Life Enrichment.
Daily contact with residents, families and Director of Life Enrichment.
Provide one-on-one meetings with residents not wishing to participate in larger group activities.
Create a calm enjoyable interaction between residents themselves, and the residents and staff.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Director of Life Enrichment or Executive Director.

Handling soiled linen.
Clean up of potentially contaminated fluids.
Attending to an injury where blood is present.
I understand that because of the above-mentioned occasional tasks, I could be at potential risk for contracting a bloodborne pathogen, including but not limited to: non-A hepatitis, non-B hepatitis, hepatitis B (HBV), delta hepatitis, syphilis, malaria and/or human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).
Therefore, the company will provide me with the appropriate training in Universal Precautions and OSHA ‘s Exposure Control Standards in order to minimize any possible exposure. They will further provide me with an HBV vaccination if I so choose.
It will be my responsibility to adhere to all Exposure Control Policies as set forth by the company
I have read the above and have received training on Bloodborne Pathogens.
Working conditions:
Sitting/Standing: up to 8 hours
Lifting requirements: up to 25 lbs.
Phone time: up to 2 hours daily
Computer time: up to 2 hours daily
Driving Time: up to 8 hours daily
Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
Creative and artistic.
Proficient with Microsoft or other design software.
Able to motivate residents.

17-passenger bus with wheelchair lift

Education:
High School diploma, at least one-year experience in related field.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
