The Woodward Park City Action Sports Supervisor is an essential Progression and Programming department leader. This full-time, year-round role reports to the Manager of Sports Programming at Woodward Park City. This position has a leading role in hiring, training, and developing staff to ensure progressive and modern coaching techniques are delivered. The successful applicant will be accountable for overseeing many aspects of the Action Sports school operations, safety, and services to ensure that guests receive an exceptional experience. This involves providing excellent customer service, exceeding our guests' expectations, and creating an atmosphere of safety, fun, and learning to enhance their Action Sports experience.

Job Requirements
Essential Duties Responsibilities:
Supervisory job duties for lessons, camps, multiweek programming, birthday parties, and some events.
  • Supporting the Sports Program Manager in designing Woodward instructional programs and ensuring an excellent experience for all guests
  • Work closely with the Progression leadership team to develop a coaching model, training, and retention.
  • Execute, coordinate, and communicate scheduling for coaches
  • Assist in payroll and manage labor according to budget and business volume
  • Ensure the safety of our guests and employees by Identifying and communicating repair and maintenance of equipment.
  • Professionally interact with parents before, during, and after lessons, camps, and programs
  • Provide job performance feedback and education to coaches and leads
  • Operate the lesson desk, communicate, recommend, resolve issues, and book lessons
  • Ensure opening/closing duties for outdoor zones are completed thoroughly and on time
  • Assist in lesson planning for programs and camps
  • Maintain a positive relationship with all Woodward Park City staff, guests, and community members by upholding company policies and procedures

Basic Requirements
  • A valid driver's license is required
  • Physical Capabilities: bend, twist, push, pull, stand, lift 50 lbs
  • Certification: USSA, PSIA-AASI, PMBIA, BICP CPR, First Aid, AED
  • Must be comfortable working in an outdoor all-season environment
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and aptitude to learn new software applications
  • Pass a criminal background check after the position is accepted

Preferred Skills:
  • Four-year college degree
  • 4+ years of experience teaching one or more Action Sports (ie. Ski, snowboard, skateboard, mountain bike, BMX, scooter, parkour, acro, or gymnastics)
  • 4+ years of experience working with kids
  • 2+ years of experience in a leadership role
  • Experience working in a Camp environment
  • Must provide a letter of recommendation and three work-related references
  • Camp experience is preferred
  • Proficiency in Snow Sports, Mountain Biking, Action Sports, Trampoline, and spotting skills.
  • Have the proven ability to collaborate well across functions and departments, to work as part of a team, and to lead teams in achieving goals
