The Action Sports Coach position is an integral part of the guest experience, providing an unmatched dynamic platform. The main responsibilities of this position will be coaching children ages 7--12-year-olds. With a great attitude and a calm demeanor, the coaches will execute and support all aspects of the program, including the overall curriculum and appropriate use of facilities. The goal is to ensure a high level of training and progression, ensuring guests are engaged and participating responsibly. Action Sports Coaches should have basic expertise in one or more of the following sports to qualify for this position:

• Trampolining/Tumbling
• Parkour
• Skateboarding
• Scootering
• BMX

Job Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Teach beginner to advanced lessons for all ages.
• Teach group and private lessons, classes, day camps, and special events.
• Inform, provide, and enforce all safety rules and policies, including wearing helmets, using PARK SMART, etc.
• Proactively always engage with all participants
• Attend coaching clinics, additional training, and possibly lead clinics in your expertise.
• Set a positive example and be a role model.
• Help maintain the cleanliness and functionality of all Woodward Park City sports facilities.
• Other Duties as Assigned.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SPECIAL SKILLS:

• Understanding of bike and action sport tricks, progressions, and terminology
• Experience working with children, teens, and adults.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• First Aid/CPR Certification preferred.
• Have a Proven ability to collaborate well across functions and departments, to work as part of a team, and to lead teams in achieving shared goals.

BASIC SCHEDULE/REQUIREMENTS:

• Must pass a background screening to ensure the suitability of contact with minor children and the public under federal, state, and local jurisdictions.
• Physical Capabilities: bend, twist, push, pull, stand, lift 50 lbs.
• Must be comfortable working in an outdoor and indoor all-season environment.
• Adhere to all workplace safety practices, expectations, and guidelines.
• Camp Attendance Requirements: Summer Camp Season (June 2nd - August 10th)
• Preferred minimum 4-week commitment within the summer camp season
• Provide work-related references upon request.
