SUMMARY: Lock Stock and Barrel (AKA: LSB) is an energetic, fast paced organization operating in Simi Valley, California. We are a busy, premier west coast on-line auction house specializing in selling firearms and related items through an on-line auction format. The Logistics/Acquisitions Associate is responsible for preparing outgoing shipments and receiving incoming shipments and at times working in Acquisitions doing pick up of inventory and the Administration Office. The successful candidate will support the logistics and acquisition functions under the direction of the Logistics and Acquisition Managers. The position works to fulfill customer orders and work closely with other Logistics Associates to review invoices, retrieve products, package products and place labels on outgoing packages. Performs administrative functions for the Office Manager. The position requires the individual to be detailed oriented, organized, reliable, willing to work in a fast-paced environment, possess excellent organizational and administrative skills. This is a flexible position and will require the ability to move between the Logistics, Acquisitions and the Administrative office as needed. The percentage of time in each area is an estimate.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Logistics:
· Schedules shipments to ensure delivery by promised deadlines.
· Ensures that merchandise is sent by the appropriate vendor and sent to the correct firearms dealer.
· Receives orders and assigns shipments to appropriate carriers.
· Assists customer service representatives with order status inquiries and special customer needs.
· Resolves delivery problems.
· Assures no damaged items are sent or received.
· Compares packing lists to company purchase orders and ensures that the product in each delivery match the packing list.
Acquisitions:
· Coordinates with the Inventory Specialist and updates the product inventory as products are received.
· Meets with consignors and is responsible for their merchandise from the time of contact to drop off to LSB or WYOA.
· Ensures that all consignment requests are properly received, documented and followed up on within 24 hours of receipt.
· Reviews and verifies consignment items, completes pick up sheets at site of consignor.
· Delivers inventory to LSB or WYOA.
· Presents a positive image to the consignors and is the face of LSB and WYOA at the time of pickup.
· Meets customer on scheduled pick-up day.
· Communicates with consignors regarding arrival times and expectations around the pickups.
· Schedules arrival with the Intake Manager to ensure delivery by promised deadlines.
· Ensures that items for pickup are safely and securely transported and delivered, as well as properly identified per company procedure.
Administrative Office:
· Answers phone calls and transfers calls to appropriate individuals as needed.
· Maintains filing systems as assigned.
· Handles past due accounts and contacts customers regarding collection accounts.
· Retrieves information as requested from records, email, and other related documents; prepares written summaries of data when needed.
· Responds to and resolves administrative inquiries and questions.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Firearms knowledge required.
- Demonstrated ability to write clearly and with proper grammar.
- Ability to work effectively with conflicting priorities and tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently, organize, handle detail, follow-through on tasks and problem solve with minimal supervision and successfully complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Able to work in a busy environment.
- Must have respect for confidentiality; ability to work with discretion and integrity.
- Computer proficiency, including Google WorkStation.
- Ability to get along well with others and be a positive member of LSB.
- Must have valid CA drivers’ license, clean DMV, and the ability to obtain and maintain a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) from the Department of Justice.
- Favorable driving record without DUI conviction(s) within the past seven (7) years

HOURS of EMPLOYMENT: This is a full -time position and the individual will move between departments as needed. The Acquisitions portion of the job may require overnight trips roughly every 4 - 8 weeks. No longer than 2 nights. The majority of the trips will be local and approximately 2 - 3 days a week, the actual length of trip may vary but mostly will be anywhere from 2 - 6 hours. The remaining hours of the job will be assigned in the Logistics and Administration departments.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Salary depends on experience. Compensation will be calculated on a 40 hour per week schedule. Hours may vary due to the needs. This position includes vacation, sick time, health insurance benefits, holidays and a 401(k) plan.
Salary Grade: 13, $19.53 – $24.41 - $29.29
