Accounts Receivable Specialist

The Animal Farm Family team seeks a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. As the Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will manage the Accounts Receivable ledger, ensure accurate and timely invoicing, and maintain positive relationships with customers. Your role will involve collaborating closely with the Sales Department to guarantee invoice accuracy, posting invoices with precision, and actively participating in process improvement initiatives. Additionally, you will be essential in cash forecasting, supporting month-end closing activities, and contributing to audit support as needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Responsible for Accounts Receivable ledger
• Invoice management to include deductions for shortages, credits
• Work closely with Sales Department to insure invoice accuracy
• Post Accounts Receivable invoices with correct class and item codes
• Responsible for timely cash receipts posting
• Work closely with customers to establish a good working relationship
• Research and work with customers regarding payment status
• Maintain customer files and records
• Prepare and maintain the anticipated receivables in the cash forecast report
• Support cash forecasting and analysis
• Actively participate in process improvement ideation and creation
• Assist with month end closing
• Assist with audit support as necessary
• Create and document job responsibilities and procedures
• Performs journal entries
• Helps maintain accurate financial records
• Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of corporate accounting experience
• Experience with financial systems, ERP, banking portal implementation
• Experience with policy creation
• Experience with balance sheet analysis
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Google Mail, financial software, and banking portals

Compensation

• $60-65,000/year DOE
• Bonus opportunities
