Summary of Positions:The primary function of a Valley Interior Products, Inc. Accounts Receivable Specialist is to ensure (1) accurate payment application and (2) payment discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.Duties & Responsibilities:
- Post customer payments by recording cash, check, credit card, ACH, and online portal payments daily
- Pull and post Lockbox payments daily
- Correct payment errors from counter sales
- Maintain relationships with customers while resolving and correcting customer payment discrepancies
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1-3 years of related work experience preferred
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills
- Demonstrate knowledge of general accounting policy and procedures
- Must be a team player, possess good organizational and analytical skills
- Demonstrate high integrity and profound attention to detail
- Ability to self-manage, show initiative, and solve problems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to remain in stationary position 80%
- Occasionally, will move about inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc.
- Must be able to operate basic office machinery
- Must be able to communicate with team and management and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Must be able to process customer payments, financial documents, etc.
- Constantly working in office environment
- Must be able to problem solve and prioritize tasks
- Must be able to manage stress depending on tasks and deadlines
