Accounts Receivable Specialist

Summary of Positions:The primary function of a Valley Interior Products, Inc. Accounts Receivable Specialist is to ensure (1) accurate payment application and (2) payment discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.
Duties & Responsibilities:

• Post customer payments by recording cash, check, credit card, ACH, and online portal payments daily
• Pull and post Lockbox payments daily
• Correct payment errors from counter sales
• Maintain relationships with customers while resolving and correcting customer payment discrepancies
• Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• 1-3 years of related work experience preferred
• Proficient Microsoft Office skills
• Demonstrate knowledge of general accounting policy and procedures

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to remain in stationary position 80%
• Occasionally, will move about inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc.
• Must be able to operate basic office machinery
• Must be able to communicate with team and management and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
• Must be able to process customer payments, financial documents, etc.
• Constantly working in office environment
