FPA Women’s Health, California's largest family planning provider, is looking for a reliable and hard-working Accounts Receivable Representative to work Full-time in our administration office in San Bernardino.

The Accounts Receivable Representative is responsible for insurance verification, collections of outstanding insurance, and patient balances.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
- Reviews daily patient charge summaries.
- Collects outstanding balances as quickly as possible by applying best collection practices as defined by AR Management.
- Utilizes various reports to target aged balances for collection to meet and maintain performance goals as set by Management.
- Reviews and maintains tasks and electronic clearinghouse daily.
- Evaluate denials and partial payments to determine proper follow up.
- Alert management to irregularities, customer trends and areas of concern.
- Demonstrates understanding of NextGen system.
- Maintains strict confidentiality with information abiding by all HIPAA standards.
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills over the phone and in writing.

REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma required.
- 1 year Accounts Receivable, Medical Billing or Collections experience is preferred.
- Experience in payment posting manually or ERA, appeals process and refunds/offsets is preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills is required.
- High degree of assertiveness and determination is required.
- NextGen experience preferred, but not required.
- Has a clear understanding of insurance and coordination of benefits.
