Brief Description The Accounts Receivable Associate is responsible for: Process customer cash receipts and resolving payment discrepancies.Working independently with overall direction from the Supervisor, Accounts Receivable.Specific Duties Primary duties and responsibilities of the Accounts Receivable Associate: Prepare bank deposits (manual deposits) as assigned, date stamp remits.Process all customer modes of payment: Lockbox, Check deposits, Direct Deposits, and Credit Card Payments.Access and process third party vendor credit card on file paymentsTrack and balance related cash batches to ensure month end close is accurately reported.Download, import and store daily files from BMO Harris related to the different pay methods.Research and resolve and follow up with customers on account inquiries related to short payments and over payments.Accurate analysis and storage of daily remittances and cash application detailsWork directly with internal staff (CDM, Membership, International) to resolve payment discrepancies and accurately record cash.Assist with other projects in department as needed.Provide supporting documentation during annual auditKnowledge / Skills Required / Preferred Personal: Good written and oral communication skills.Attention to detail. Professional: General knowledge of accounting.Good understanding of different financial ERP systems navigationDemonstrates the CAP leadership values: Partnership, Respect, Accountability, Communication, and Excellence Technical: Proficiency with Microsoft Office softwareGood analytical and math skillsExperience with customer support and financial systems
Education / Experience Education: High school graduate. Experience: 2 years experience in accounting department:Preferably in cash application or Accounts Receivable. Related certifications: N/A
