Job description

Fairchild Equipment is seeking a stable, hard-working, dependable and motivated Accounts Receivable Associate for a full-time position in Green Bay, WI. This position requires you to review, reconcile, and make collections inquiries on customers' past due accounts and process customer cash payments on a day-to-day basis in order to reduce Accounts Receivable delinquency. All this will be done while keeping customers, leadership and co-workers informed at all times. The ideal candidate will have strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process customer payments and refunds on a timely basis.
Resolves client-billing problems and rescues Accounts Receivable delinquency, applying good customer service in a timely manner.
Analyze and reconcile customer account activity for collections efforts.
Review and resolve customer invoice and payment issues.
Develop effective repayment plans for customers.
Research and implement effective collection techniques.
Prepare monthly reconciliations.
Maintain customer accounts and business forms.
Keep accurate records and reporting on collection activity.
Recommend best method of collections on delinquent accounts in collaboration with Fairchild's CFO and Collection Associates.
Ability to review credit applications and complete credit investigation to grant credit and establish credit limits.
Determine proper time to place accounts on credit hold in collaboration with Fairchild's CFO.
Negotiate with customers and develop plans for payment and dispute resolution.
Provide timely follow-up on payment arrangements.
Respond to customer account queries in a timely and professional manner.
Work with internal groups to meet Accounts Receivable goals.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree or Associate Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred.
2+ years of full-cycle Accounts Receivable or related experience is required.
1+ year of credit analysis experience.
Ability to organize, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
Excellent customer service and negotiation skills.
Experience with account reconciliation.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
Strong communication, problem solving, and analytical skills required.
Excellent multi-tasking and attention to detail with an eye for accuracy.
Adapt and work in a fast pace environment.

Grasping- applying pressure to an object with fingers and palm.
Talking- Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
Hearing- Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication.
Climbing- ascending or descending.
Occasional Physical Activity of the position:
Balancing- maintaining body equilibrium.
Fingering- perceiving attributes of objects by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.
The visual acuity requirements:
The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
