Accounts Payable Supervisor

We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Payable Supervisorwho would love to join our enthusiastic DO & CO team and implement the best industry practices for our luxury airline catering operation in New York.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise AP. including, Customer Vendor Relations, and the AP disbursement which handles all check disbursements, 1099 and tax related matters.
• Manage accounting functions including maintenance of general ledger, Accounts Payable, accounts receivable, and project accounting; ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Support in development, implementation and maintaining systems, procedures, and policies, including Accounts Payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
• Manage monthly closing of financial records and posting of month-end information; ensure accuracy of financial statements.
• Provide accounting assistance to managers and operations staff; respond to financial questions/concerns to meet business needs.
• Act as a liaison between the company, government, and external accountants to meet information needs and to ensure that proper information is maintained for historical purposes.
• Recommend operating and personnel budgets for approval.
• Monitor spending for adherence to budget, recommend variances as necessary.
• Perform additional projects as assigned.

Qualification:

• Proven ability to be a resourceful problem-solver.
• Great attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet processing deadlines.
• Hands-on mentality and practice with manual systems.
• Passion for working within an international team.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience and thorough understanding of all aspects of Accounts Payable preferably within hospitality or food production environment.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance/business management preferred.
• Excellent Microsoft Excel (and Word) skills a must (creating formulas needed)
• Working knowledge of accounting principles - GAAP.

• Estimated pay range: $70,000 - $80,000 annually.
