The Account Payable Specialist will be a key member of of the finance team.
In this role the Account Payable Specialist will perform a variety of Accounts Payable and/or other related data input/posting/maintenance/processing into financial accounts, related systems and other informational databases in a Global Shared Services Center.
You will review information to input and determine correct procedures. You will input data, audit for accuracy, and respond to and research questions and resolve issues as needed.
This position is hybrid with onsite Westbrook, ME weekly on Wednesday.
Key Responsibilities:
Performs variety of global Accounts Payable and/or other related data input/posting/maintenance/ processing into financial accounts, related systems and other informational databases for over 40 entities across 20+ countries in North America, Europe, and South Africa.
Receives transaction information such as invoices and ensures information is complete before processing. Delivers payment services to our internal and external clients in a timely and accurate manner.
Reviews information to input and determines correct procedures so accounts, systems and databases will be updated properly. Contacts related departments, employees, vendors, financial institutions and others as needed to clarify information.
Inputs data into accounts, systems and/or databases according to established guidelines and procedures.
Audits, validates and reconciles data for accuracy to ensure adherence to established policy. Resolves discrepancies and makes corrections as needed.
Responds to and researches questions and issues as needed. Communicates with related departments, employees, vendors, financial institutions and others to exchange information. Consults and interprets appropriate policies as appropriate and resolves issues. May trains employees and others as needed.
Prepares and presents reports summarizing work activities as needed.
Follow Corporate Policies, Service Level Agreements, and local tax policies.
Performs other duties as assigned.

What You Need To Succeed:
High school diploma or equivalent. Associates degree preferred for Level V position.
Data entry skills, including accuracy and speed in a fast-paced, time-critical environment.
Ability to work with variety of systems and databases. SAP knowledge preferred.
Detail and Process-oriented, patient and thorough.
Good customer service skills, with ability to exchange information with wide variety of people.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Organized with ability to multi-task.
Ability to work both individually and as a team player.
PC skills, including Microsoft Office.
