Kennebunkport Resort Collection is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist!
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing and reconciling all invoices, as well as assisting with monthly billing, credit card transactions, and assisting with monthly and yearly financial closing process. The position will also assist in revenue transactions and bank reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day Accounts Payable transactions to ensure accurate and timely payment processing
- This includes full cycle Accounts Payable, verify & post Accounts Payable into Software
- Sorting/filing/distribution of incoming mail
- Review and monitor vendor statements
- Prepare weekly payment processing and check runs
- Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies as well as obtain appropriate verification and approval of invoices
- Timely responses to internal and external vendor inquiries
- Assist with year-end 1099 forms
- Assist with accounts receivable processes
- Ensure that processing and reporting deadlines are consistently achieved
- Perform special tasks as assigned by the Accounting Supervisor/Controller
- Maintain and process upcoming license renewals or licensing applications
Skills & Experience:
- Accounting degree or commensurate work experience in an accounting position
- Strong organization and time management skills
- High level of accuracy and detail orientation
- Experience with multiple entities
- Proficient with computer applications; MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Strong communication skills
- Great Phone Etiquette
- Experience with Acumatica accounting software a plus
- Ability to communicate professionally with employees and all levels of management
Physical Demands:
- Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by office environmental systems
- Occasionally driving to the properties to check signatures
- Must be able to sit at a desk for up to 8 hours per day. Walking and standing are occasionally required
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability, and visual acuity
- Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment
- Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment such as computers, printers, 10-key adding machine, multi-line touch-tone phone, filing cabinets, FAX machines, scanners, photocopiers, dolly, and other office equipment as needed
