Accounts Payable Specialist

FirstFour Staffing is assisting a client in Mobile, AL seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to handle the company's bills and manage the Accounts Payable ledger. An ideal candidate must have a good understanding of payments, the accounting process, and budgeting.

Responsibilities:

• Managing general ledger journal entries and credit card and bank account reconciliation.
• Preparing Accounts Payable invoices.
• Handling payments in an organized and timely manner.
• Preparing and maintaining Excel spreadsheets.
• Ensuring imaging of invoice supporting documents is timely and accurately performed.
• Assisting with audit support as necessary.
• Assisting in streamlining the Accounts Payable process.
• Working with account receivable clerk and others to resolve account issues when necessary.
• Handling expense reports.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma. Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting preferred.
• 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience.
• Proficient in Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Comfortable using a computer for various tasks beyond general accounting.
• Able to handle supervisory responsibility if necessary.
• Understanding of payments, accounting, and budgeting.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
