We seek an Accounts Payable Assistant for a Full-time position based out of Totowa, NJ headquarters.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Accounts Payable coordinator on a daily basis

• Handling of all corporate & retail invoices

• Communications between employees, managers, retail stores, and vendors

• Run the weekly check run

• Organize the AP files as well as the retail cash receipts for archiving

• Work closely with all retail managers as well all department managers

• Prepares incoming checks for deposit, before giving them to the accounts receivable department

• Receives and verifies employee expense reports

• Facilitates payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders and resolving discrepancies

• Records entry of, verifies documentation for and distributes petty cash

• Review and monthly analysis of corporate Amex charges for various employees

Requirements

• Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy

• Must be proficient in excel and other related programs

• Must be able to learn other accounting software systems

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records

• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume

• High School Diploma (or GED) required
