Accounting Supervisor

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

The Accounting Supervisor is a key position at our Bruce Aerospace office, located in Carson City NV. You will be working in a team environment with a bright view from the second floor of a modern, clean office. Our Accounting Supervisor oversees the accounting department’s daily operations and is responsible for managing the team.

Reporting to our Controller, you’ll manage the Accounting Department, while regularly interacting with the supply chain department, operations and Human Resources.

A highlight of your day-to-day will include:

· Assist team in ensuring all accounting processes align with GAAP and current financial regulations.

· Oversee the daily activities of the accounting department including accounts receivable and cash management. Act as back-up for these duties, as needed.

· Assist in month end close by prepping month-end journal entries and reconciling accounts payable and other assigned accounts.

· Prepare, post, and verify invoices for payment. This will include matching invoices to purchase orders, properly coding invoices, obtaining authorization for payment, and reconciling processed invoices by verifying entries to system reports.

· Resolve purchase order, receipt, and invoice discrepancies.

· Initiate weekly & monthly vendor check runs and ACH payments in an accurate and timely manner

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You’re enthusiastic and motivated in a fast-paced environment. You understand the balances and controls of the accounting function, and the need for accuracy and timeliness. You have a familiarity with accounts payable/receivables procedures, general ledger and bank reconciliations. Providing professional customer service with a sense of urgency comes naturally to you. You have 2-5 years of related accounting experience and you’ve led a team. You have excllent customer service skills and you don’t take shortcuts. You’re conscientious not just for yourself, but for your team.
