ABOUT THE POSITION
The Senior Accounting Specialist provides expert level Cost Accounting services to the Crestwood Accounting Services (CAS) clients. The ideal candidate is a critical thinking, self-starter, driven to achieve more, with a thirst for accuracy. This individual performs at a high level in a fast-paced, remote, multi-client environment where continuous improvement is expected.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the CAS Accounting Manager. As this is a production positional the billable utilization goal is 75%.
On occasion the Crestwood Business Management (CBM) department will require assistance with new software implementation training and on-going software support consulting. Hours spent doing CBM billable activities are included in the billable utilization goal.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Primary Responsibilities
· Collaborate on strategic objectives, execution of priorities and weekly deliverables
· Full cycle Job Cost Accounting, including but not limited to:
· Create vendor, client billing classifications and rate tables
· Setup projects, budgets, resource scheduling
· Accounts payable
· Accounts receivable
· Prepare, review, and generate various project and AR billing reports for project managers
· Analyze customer accounts and assist in collection of bad debts
· Processing payroll and benefits administration
· Completing various bank & credit card reconciliations
· Perform period-end closing
· Fixed asset and personal property tracking and reporting
· Prepare and distributing annual 1099 forms
· Answer customer email inquiries in a timely manor
· Assist CAS team with maintaining controls to the general ledger accounts and business transactions while adhering to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
· Electronic filing and overall maintenance of filing systems (i.e., File servers, SharePoint, Dropbox, OneDrive)
· Develop the skills to work remotely in a multi-office, multicultural team of experienced professionals, using a unique and progressive professional service model with an entrepreneurial vision
· Dazzle our clients by delivering accurate and complete reporting, general accounts information, and various other data tailored to their needs

Required - HS Diploma or GED equivalent and 5 years full cycle accounting; related experience and/or training/education
Bachelor's and 2 years full cycle accounting
Language Ability
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Math Ability
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be fully proficient skills working with Microsoft Office Professional with emphasis on Word, Excel, and Outlook. Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn new systems utilizing available resources. Experience with scheduling and task management software applications.
