RiverCenter for the Performing Arts is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join the RiverCenter team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll and Benefits administration. The position reports to the Finance Manager and assists with all areas of accounting.
Accounts Payable Responsibilities
Prepares, posts, verifies, and records vendor bills and transactions related to accounts payable
Prepare weekly payments by check, ACH payments, credit card payments, online payments and wire transfers obtaining the required signatures and approvals
Ensure all required vendor information is on file and issues 1099’s annually
Accounts Receivable Responsibilities
Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable
Creates invoices according to company practices; submits invoices to customers
Posting and reconciling revenues from ticket sales and concession sales
Payroll and Benefits Responsibilities
Maintain database of personnel information and accurate payroll records
Conduct regularly scheduled audits of payroll records to ensure continued accuracy
Process weekly payroll ensuring that employees are paid on time and in the correct amount, work with departments to ensure proper processing and approvals of payroll
On-boarding new employees and processing and reconciling benefits
General Responsibilities
Other duties as delegated by the Finance Manager and/or Director of Finance & Administration
The ideal candidate must have the following qualifications:·
- Minimum 2'year's experience in the accounting field
- College or Technical School course work in accounting
- Microsoft experience with Outlook, Excel and Word
- Quickbooks Enterprise, Online or Desktop Experience preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Job Type: Full-time
Monday - Friday, 9AM to 5PM
Work Location: In person
Pay: $40,000.00 - $43,000.00 per year commensurate with experience
