Accounting Professional
We are looking for a diligent Accounting Professional to join our team. We are a leading property management and development company with a focus on buying, remodeling, renting and selling homes. We currently have properties in Lee, Charlotte and Sarasota County ranging from single family, duplex, tri plex and multi-unit condos as well as beach rentals.
The Accounting Professionals responsibilities include:
- Perform payroll functions in an accurate and timely manner, and submit payroll for processing
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements daily. Assist Accounting Manager with Reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts monthly.
- Maintain and balance the general ledger in an accurate, complete, and up-to-date manner
- Perform all activities related to the accounts payable function including reviewing, coding, scanning supporting documentation and processing payments.
- Update fixed asset roll forwards monthly
- Perform account receivable functions including invoicing, deposits, collections, and revenue recognition
- Prepare financial reports through collection, analysis, and summarization of data
- Assist with monthly close process
Skills
- Proven work experience as an accountant
- Full understanding of property management and its financial aspects is a plus
- Expert in Quick Books and MS Office
- Customer focus and bottom-line orientation
- Interpersonal savvy with strong communication and presentation skills
- Well organized with excellent time management skills
Requirements:
- 2 - 3 Years Accounting experience required
- 2 - 3 Years QuickBooks experience required
- Bachelor's degree in accounting is a plus
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and juggle multiple priorities
- Ability to juggle multiple deadlines and contact with employees in calm and professional manner
- Experience working with payroll systems
