The Accounting Onboarding Manager will report to the Director of Client Acquisition. This role will be responsible for the finance and Accounting Onboarding process for all e2E clients. This role will be the primary contact for ensuring all client Accounting Onboarding tasks are executed and is responsible for client and internal staff engagement throughout the process. Provides outstanding communication, accounting knowledge, coordination, project management, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills to entrepreneurial clients.
As the Accounting Onboarding Manager, you will be the key contact and coordinator to ensure our client's accounting needs are accurately and efficiently folded into our partnership-based services which is customized to fit our clients unique and ever-changing needs. You will serve as the primary contact on all accounting and finance
Key Responsibilities
- Creates, owns, and manages client Accounting Onboarding execution and is responsible for client communication, engagement, and satisfaction.
- Attends prospect introduction calls and understands the parameters of client engagements.
- Creates onboarding plan and monitors client timelines and internal SLAs, ensuring both are met or exceeded and proactively communicates any deviations or schedule updates to client.
- Leads and executes all new client Accounting Onboarding processes and tasks including:
- Schedule and task calendar for each client.
- General Ledger mapping.
- Update accounting records and correct accounting practices of client, create efficiencies in client’s accounting file (bank rules, automatic report generation, etc.).
- Produce first month of full-charge bookkeeping work.
- Ensure all adjusting entry schedules are correct.
- Draft accounting manual and accounting checklist for all new clients (using templates).
- Smooth transition to internal accounting team.
- Other onboarding duties as required.
- Initiates and implements continuous improvement in the client onboarding processes to improve the client experience (quality and ease of transition), internal team workflows, and efficiency.
- Other duties and responsibilities as identified or needed to help drive our Vision and abide by our client promise to help our clients grow.
Skills and Competencies
- Excellent attention to detail, meticulous project management, process design, and implementation skills.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required, CPA preferred.
- 7+ years of related experience. Accounting/financial operating knowledge including processes and systems set-up and project management skills required.
- Experience as an accountant, performing bank and credit card reconciliations, AP/AR accounting, payroll, monthly close, adjusting entries, and financial statement preparation.
- Experience using QuickBooks Online preferred.
- Experience with other accounting software is a plus.
- Exceptional customer service skills required.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
