Accounting Manager

ACE Solar is looking to hire an Accounting Manager. The main responsibilities of the Accounting Manager will include but not be limited to assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R), matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, and general forms of data entry. This is a full-time position in office position located in the North Andover, Massachusetts area.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITES:

Responsibilities include managing the entire accounting process and managing an accounting team of 3-4 and assist with keeping financial records up to date and accurate. The ideal candidate should have a construction accounting background, be self-motivated, take the initiative, and work well with others. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Help implement month-end procedures.

• Establish and maintain internal controls.

• Manage and assist accounting staff with duties.

• General ledger reconciliation and account analysis

• Fixed asset tracking/reconciliation

• Monthly bank reconciliations.

• Monthly reporting for sales team.

• Monitor, analyze and ensure accuracy in job cost reports.

• Manage AR/AP for accuracy and timely collection.

• Monthly gas credit card reconciliations

• Ensure construction ERP system is working seamlessly with the accounting software

• Job costing accounting – track and analyze project costs including labor/material and overhead. Work with commercial operations to reconcile project costs discrepancies.

• Monitor and manage lien waivers to ensure contract requirements

• Other ad hoc duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3+ years of construction accounting background including construction specific billing forms (AIA/G702), project specific waiver, COI management.

• 1+ year of managing a small team

• 1+ year of QBO experience

• 1+ year of Procore experience or similar construction management software

• Experience working with ERP is preferred

• Experience working with excel and basic knowledge of excel functions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
