POSITION SUMMARY:
The experienced and hands-on Accounting Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting practices, preparation of all monthly end reports, and supervision of all accounting staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepares accounting related entries to several databases (accounting and development)
• Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files
• Prepares all month-end closings
• Plans and prepares for the annual external audit and Form 990. The Accounting Manager is the primary contact for the external auditor.
• Supervision of A/P and P/R accounting staff

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• CPA certification preferred
• At least 2 full years of experience with extensive grant reporting, preferably with federal grants
• 5 years' experience and knowledge of non-profit accounting preferred
