Accounting Manager – Construction/Manufacturing Company - Base Salary To 140k/Year – Valley Cottage, NY
- Our client, is a construction/manufacturing entity that operates throughout the US in working with commercial buildings in becoming ADA compliant through ramp building. The organization is bringing on a Accounting Manager that will continue to grow the financial systems side of their business. Responsibilities will range from billing and reporting to helping with budgeting, hiring accounting staff and working closely with the rest of the management team. This is an on site (in office) position in Valley Cottage, NY.
Responsibilities:
- Establishing and monitoring financial systems
- Supporting most aspects of accounting management (billing, tax forms, reporting etc.)
- Collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information to document the Company’s financial performance and positioning the Company to make well-informed financial decisions.
- Recommending forecasting requirements.
- Drafting annual and project budgets,
- Analyzing general ledger variances and suggesting corrective action for management's approval to meet annual accounting financial objectives.
- Partnering with Management to develop action plans, audit operations, and propose efficiency improvements.
- Leading the accounting team to provide accurate, timely data and recommendations.
- Tracking revenue and expenses, consolidating and analyzing financial data, preparing special reports, maintaining internal controls and other best practices, and reporting activity to internal and external customers.
- Partnering in development of reports for management
- Recruiting, hiring, and supervising accounting staff, as necessary and conducting performance evaluations, coordinating training programs, and identifying training needs.
Qualifications:
- BSc/BA in Accounting
- 5+ years of experience in Accounting Management or Equivalent
- CPA Certification
- Epicor ERP System Experience a Plus
- Public Company Audit Experience a Plus
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 120k - 140k/Year range, dependent on experience
